Trump Breaks with Marjorie Taylor Greene

Support Withdrawn
President Trump withdrew his support for Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) over her push to release files related to Jeffrey Epstein.
Context
Greene has been one of Trump's most vocal supporters in Congress since she first ran for office in 2020. Trump previously called her a "future Republican star" and defended her when she faced criticism for past statements about school shootings, the September 11 attacks, and wildfires caused by space lasers. Greene was once considered a possible vice presidential pick and had stood by Trump through multiple scandals, including the January 6 Capitol riot.
Feud Erupts
Trump announced on Friday that he was withdrawing his endorsement of Greene, calling her "wacky" and saying he could not take calls from a "ranting lunatic" every day. He pledged to support any conservative challenger who runs against her in the next primary election.
